Where it genuinely works
Based on the shape of the product rather than the industry label:
- Design and creative tools — output is inherently visual.
- Collaboration and productivity software — the before-and-after of an organised workspace is easy to show and easy to save.
- AI tools with a visible result — a document, an image, a chart produced from a plain-language instruction.
- Developer tools with a presentable workflow — terminal aesthetics and clean demonstrations do travel.
If none of these apply, we will say so and suggest a channel that fits better, even though it means less work for us.
Format: notes, not articles
A Xiaohongshu note is short, visually led and written in a conversational register. Long technical prose does not work here the way it does on Zhihu.
- Cover image carries most of the decision to open. It states the outcome, not the brand.
- First line sets the situation in the reader's own words.
- Body is structured, scannable, and usually has a numbered or stepwise shape.
- Ending invites a question or a save rather than pushing a demo.
Search behaviour on Xiaohongshu
A large share of Xiaohongshu usage is search, not feed browsing. People look for how others solved a specific problem. That makes note titles and the terms inside them function like search keywords, and it means an old note keeps producing views for months.
We research the phrases your buyers actually use, then write titles that match them without turning into keyword stuffing.
Working with creators
For many products, a mix of brand-owned notes and independent creator notes performs better than either alone, because a recommendation from a practitioner carries more weight than a brand's own post. Creator collaboration is arranged transparently, with disclosure, and within platform rules — never as undisclosed paid endorsement.
